nail on tail

I was brushing Aramis when I found some yellow leaf looking thing. i thought it was some kind of tree leaf as he always get some in his coat when going outside.

I removed it, it was somewhat hard and it bled a little. He didn’t cry or anything. I did some research and it appears to be a nail. Sometimes it grows on tail. It is a  benign, rare tumors that arise from hair follicles. I check daily to see if everything is fine. He is eating and drinking normally. I didn’t notice any change on him

sickness

Like humans, pekingese dogs are sick sometimes too.
D’Artagnan’ symptoms  are : shaking, soft stools, vomit, curled in a “I do my business ” position, tail between his legs and can’t stand on his hindquarters (back legs). This is usually an indigestion when he eats too fast.
It usually happens out of the blue. He suddenly starts shaking, curls up and can’t stand on his hindquarters. He usually poop a soft stool, and then vomit.
After a couple of hours he feels much better .

Sometimes he suddenly goes to his crate, and curls up. I usually pick him up carefully and have him relax in the position that is  most comfortable for him. Often,  the position is sit.  I do a soft massage on his belly until his belly isn’t hard anymore.

He usually ends up  lying down so I know he feels better.

We do the walking test and if he can walk normally then he’s happy as a clam.

Eye injury

They had a bad fight again for nothing.

Aramis ended up with a bad deep scratch on his left eye.

We went to the vet and he prescribed  an eye drop to make his pupil back to normal as it was stuck  and not dilating anymore; and an ointment.I put 1 drop per day for 2 days and it  dilated. I put ointment every 6 hours .

We went to recheck at the vet twice. His eye is almost back to normal in the sense that he still has some white part on his eye. The vet told me that it will take some time to cure by itself as blood vessels slowly came back.

I bought a very soft head cone for any injury. This one is much better that the plastic ones that the vet sells. This is the comfy cone by all four paws.
